House Pics!

Hey There,

Ok, so for months people have been asking to see pictures of our house. I am sorry I have been neglecting you! We undertook a major home improvement project with the help of James classmate Brian. Thanks again Brian!! The boys tore down the wall between the living room/dining room and kitchen. IT LOOKS AMAZING, it really opens the main floor up. Here are the results and some pictures of the outside. ENJOY!

12 week 6 day ULTRASOUND

Hi Everyone,

Well, here it is the 2nd picture of our baby! It's not as clear as the first one because the baby would not stop moving. He or She is a jumping bean, the arms and legs were flailing everywhere it was adorable. We also got to hear the heart beat which was about 150-160 beats per a min which is normal. So everything is progressing well. Our next appointment is on January 4th at 10 am and it is a BIG ONE because we will find out the sex of the baby as long as He or She is cooperating and showing their goods :) We love you all and look forward to updating you with the gender in about a month!!!!!

10.5 week belly shot! 106 lbs

Hello Everyone,
Well we have made it halfway through the 10th week with no morning sickness! I don't want to jinx myself but I think I may be over the worst of it. I haven't been sick to my stomach for about 9 days but my appetite is not back to normal yet. My food aversions are as follows: all meat, fish, eggs, mushrooms, and beans. I have been living off of PB&J sandwiches, baked potatoes, cereal, crackers, applesauce, yogurt and pudding cups. I hope my appetite improves soon because this Baby needs some more variety!

James' training has been going pretty well. He has been in phase III for about 2 months now and has about 4 and a half months to go! He has soloed in the T-38 several times now and just passed his first check ride last week. So now he starts formation flying this week. He's been having a blast doing all the aerobatics so far.

We leave for Va. Beach in 9 days for the Thanksgiving Holiday with our family! We're both really looking forward to getting out of town for a few days, relaxing, and spending time with loved ones. I'm also looking forward to getting back, however, because then it's Christmas decorations time! Which actually means I'll be putting James on the roof to hang lights while I take charge from the ground :)

CHICAGO!

Hey All,

As most of you know I went to Chicago last weekend for Claire's first bridal shower. She is getting married in Stuart, FL. on May 3rd 2008 and this was the first of many celebrations of the upcoming wedding. We had a wonderful girls weekend in the city, although I skipped out on the night time bar festivities since alcohol and smoke filled environments are not allowed for the pregnant lady! I felt great the whole trip until the morning I left to come back to Columbus. I think my body was rejecting the thought of going back to Mississippi because on the way to the airport for my return flight I started vomiting and it continued the whole day! OH the joys of pregnancy....
Next up is our trip to Virginia Beach for Thanksgiving, we are so excited to see family and be together for the holiday. We have been homesick over the last month and we are in desperate need of a trip to see family. Not to mention James needs a break from pilot training.

Our Baby's First Picture!

Hey Everyone,

Today was a very exciting day, we had our first doctors appointment! They ran a couple of tests and then did an ultrasound. Dr. Woods says our little baby is doing just fine. Everything is normal and looking good. We were thrilled to see our baby's heart beating away! It was an awesome experience. Do you think the baby looks more like a lima bean or a peanut? The doctor said most girls start off looking like lima bean and boys are more like a peanut. James and I think the baby looks more like a peanut....... maybe it's a boy!

Meghan

P.S. Next Doctors appointment is on November 28th.

A Rough Week

Hey There,

It's been a week since I last posted and a lot has changed. I have now started to actually feel pregnant. On Monday morning sickness hit me at 5am and did not let up until about noon. I don't feel like eating anything but crackers and cereal and the smell of most food makes me gag. James brought home Taco Bell one night I about threw up right there in the kitchen from the smell.
Work has been rough this week with my lack of energy and constant state of nausea. Not to mention emotional outbursts - a coworker said something smart to me and usually I would just let it roll off my back but on this day I immediately burst into tears! Pray that these symptoms subside soon otherwise I may loose my mind.
On a happy note, the Gators won against Kentucky yesterday which James and I were thrilled about. GO GATORS! Our first Doctor's Appointment is on Tuesday and I am going to Chicago for Claire's first bridal shower on Friday :) Lots of things to look forward to.

First Belly Shot!

Hey There,

James took the first "belly shot" this morning. We were both surprised that there is actually a very small "baby bump" there. I feel like my pants are a bit tighter but have actually lost weight because of a decrease in my appetite. We will try to put a new belly shot up every week. Enjoy!

6 WEEKS PREGGERS

Hi All!

Sorry it's been awhile since my last post not much has been going on pregnancy wise. No morning sickness to report but I am still tired all the time, I went to bed at 7pm last night! I don't think I have been in bed that early since I was in elementary school.
James has been busy with T-38 training and he caught the cold I had last week so I have been nursing him back to health :) As for me, working two jobs has kept me plenty busy. My 4 year old class is a handful but I enjoy the children.
The weather has finally gotten cool here and the leaves are changing colors. It's a pleasant change from Florida where you never see the change of seasons. James and I are going to pumpkin patch this weekend, it is right outside of town and you can pick your own pumpkin and then cut it from the ground. Last year we carved the pumpkin and then roasted the pumpkin seeds and they were so yummy, I think we will do that again.

Happy Fall To All,
Meghan

P.S. The pictures above are the jet James flies and its cockpit.

SO SLEEPY!

Hey Everyone,

I always heard you will be tired when pregnant but I never imagined I could be this exhausted! I have been averaging a 2-4 hour nap daily for the past week and still getting into bed early between 9:30-10pm. Most of you know this is out of character for me as I am usually a night owl. I have read you get your energy back around the 12th week, let's hope this is true otherwise one of the two jobs I am working will have to go. Poor James has even been neglected, with all the extra sleep I need home cooked meals and laundry have not been getting done. Love to you!
